ABOUT ME

Samantha Mogwe, born to a Motswana father and a Zambian mother, brings a fused element of neo-soul/RnB. Having been raised to appreciate poetry and performing arts, she was exposed to music at an early age and was also encouraged to tell stories through music writing and poetry. She is a multifaceted individual who places great value to edification and re-inventive qualities. She holds a degree in Theology and has also gone on to study music with the Trinity College of London.

A part of the Inside Out Collective which hosting art shows to bring awareness to various social ills. Basing these shows on the belief that art has the power to send strong messages and therefore inciting dialogue.

Part of Love Is Art, a collective that also uses arts in order to bring issues to light such as the 16 days of activism against GBV.

Worked with PSI (Population Services International) Botswana on safe male circumcision champagne, which went on to take first place for team spirit in the U.S.A.

Has been working with SKY Girls movement (Anti-smoking campaign), looking at teenage girls and the ways in which they can resist pressure to pick up bad habits such as smoking.

Current Patron for Stepping Stones International, a Non-Governmental organization that focuses on creating an enabling environment for orphaned and vulnerable children and youth through youth empowerment, family enrichment, advocacy for child protection, and capacitating service provision.
